Information we collect
If you create a price alert, we collect your email address, chosen signal, threshold, direction, display currency, frequency, consent, confirmation status and delivery history. A private management token is stored so the link in your email can pause or resume the alert. If you separately join the product-update list, we also record that optional consent. Brevo processes email delivery and optional subscription data. Our hosting provider may process routine technical logs, such as request time, browser information and IP address, to deliver and secure the site.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate page visits and website performance. Cloudflare describes this service as privacy-first and cookie-free, and states that it does not collect or use visitors’ personal data or track individual users across customer websites. The service may process page path, referring site, approximate country, device and browser category, and page-performance measurements.
When a clearly labelled affiliate link is shown or selected, HardAsset Atlas increments a first-party daily aggregate impression or click counter. The counter can include the partner, page and button placement, displayed currency, selected market, offer rank, and broad quantity or holding-period ranges. We also count accepted waitlist signups, alert confirmations and sent alert messages in aggregate. We count views of public calculator and comparison pages by page, without visitor identifiers. These are page views, not unique visitors. Changes to calculator and comparison inputs also increment aggregate activity counts by page and displayed currency, once per page and currency during a page visit. We do not store exact calculator values, email addresses, IP addresses, browser identifiers or cross-site identifiers in these analytics tables.
Why we use it
For recognised promotional links, we count page views and dealer clicks by source, campaign and post identifier. Only identifiers from our published campaigns are accepted; arbitrary query text and full referring URLs are not recorded. Your browser tab temporarily retains these public campaign tags for up to 30 minutes, so navigation between our tools can retain the source. This uses session storage, not cookies or a visitor identifier. The server stores daily aggregate counts only. Marked verification traffic is reported separately.
We use your email to confirm and deliver alerts you request. We send occasional HardAsset Atlas updates only if you separately opt in. The legal basis is your consent and your request for the alert service. Aggregate analytics and technical data help us operate, protect, diagnose and improve the website and understand which partner placements are useful.
Sharing and retention
Price-alert and waitlist email data is shared with Brevo as our email-service provider. Analytics and technical data may be processed by Cloudflare and the services that host and protect the site. We do not sell this data. We keep alert and subscription information until you pause, unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, subject to limited records needed to honour an opt-out or meet legal obligations. Affiliate and conversion counters are stored as aggregate daily totals rather than individual visitor histories.
Your choices and rights
You can pause an alert through its private management link and unsubscribe through the link in every marketing email. Depending on where you live, you may also request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing.
Cookies and affiliate links
Cloudflare Web Analytics and our first-party affiliate counters do not use analytics cookies. Essential hosting or security technology may still be used to deliver and protect the service. If you click our clearly labelled BullionVault affiliate link, you leave HardAsset Atlas and BullionVault may set a referral cookie subject to the choices and policy shown on its website. The referral lets BullionVault attribute an eligible registration or transaction to HardAsset Atlas.
